2022 50c Newborn Baby 1/2oz Silver Proof Coin

Struck by The Perth Mint from 1/2oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

This coin has an unlimited mintage.

DESIGN

The coin’s reverse features a newborn in a baby carrying sling, with a flying stork and the moon in the background. The inscription CONGRATULATIONS and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark are also included in the design.

The coin’s obverse features the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2022 year-date, the weight and fineness, and the monetary denomination.

PRESENTATION

The coin is housed in an elaborate themed gift card, with room to write the baby’s details, a family tree and a place to house a photograph.
